Metamora is a great place to visit during the winter months. Even though the Grist Mill and the Canal Boat are not in service, you'll still find some shops that are open and the ducks are always waiting to greet you. This historical town and it's beauty makes a relaxing wintertime outing. You can wander around this peaceful village and explore the fascinating buildings full of history, feed the ducks, see the waterwheel, and visit some great shops. You don't have to fight the crowds and search for a parking place. Below you'll find a list of shops that plan to be open during the winter. Other shops may open on the weekends when the weather is nice.
		WE ARE MOVING TO THE BANES HOUSE RIGHT NEXT DOOR. WE WILL BE CLOSED JAN AND FEB TO MOVE. WE HOPE TO BE OPEN BY APRIL. You can't miss the "Smelly Gourmet" located on Main Street in the only 3 story building in town. The Smelly Gourmet is Metamora's only European Coffee Bar, hand crafted Bath and Body, custom designed sterling and gemstone jewelry Gift Shop. Steve and Brenda's creative imagination provides you with a fun filled atmosphere full of hand made items never seen before such as their Metamora souvenirs, computer clocks, stain glass candle boxes, personalized photo gifts, and their own brand of hand made Crema Fiore Bath and Body products along with their outstanding European Coffee Bar where you can get the best cappuccino this side of the Atlantic Ocean! Designer Catrina Campbell bring to life beautifully jewelry using her imagination and bare hands. No two pieces are alike. She prides herself in the highest quality pieces made of only sterling silver, copper and gemstones. You won't find any base metals or glass bead in her pieces. 		Located on Main Street at the intersection of the Whitewater Canal and Bridge Street. You'll experience a unique array of books, railroad memorabilia, toy trains, kitchen items, lamps and lanterns, and more. This is truly a unique shop. Some of George's collections are extremely rare finds and Gail's paintings have been on exhibit at The Cincinnati Museum Center, Minnetrista Cultural Center, the Newcastle Art Association, The Anderson Art Association, The Community Gallery in Vevay, Art at the Hermitage, The Whitewater Valley Annual Show and the Pendleton Art Center in Rising Sun.
